ABOUT CHRIS

I created this site to reflect on things I've learned over the years through business successes and mistakes. I've been documenting my journey and sharing my thoughts to aid other entrepreneurs in a similar position. My motivation comes from an unfortunate event in my life that drove me early on to want to succeed.

To give some background on myself, I started my first business - Unipaper - in my second year of university, where I went on to graduate with a business marketing management degree. I scaled the business to attract over £2m in revenue with a team of 20 in central London and over 500 writers operating in 16 cities around the UK.

During that time, the business launched 16 newspapers, printing over 250,000 copies per month with over 1 million monthly users on their online platform. Unipaper connected world-leading youth brands with the UK student market. During the first five years, we worked with over 1200 businesses and agencies with a head office on Oxford Street, London.

The first five years of the journey were one with a number of challenges and an unusual story. It was far from perfect with mistakes costing hundreds of thousands.
 

After 5 years of scaling the business, I repositioned; launching We Are Media Group (WAMG). WAMG was created to provide performance marketing and full end-to-end media planning and buying for an exclusive group of national and local brands throughout the UK and Ireland. WAMG owns and operates a content site and social channels, reaching millions of people monthly.

 

Alongside running and growing WAMG, I’ve started to build a number of investments and portfolios, winning me the Financial Fortress award in 2024.
